I pick up any tracts I find lying around and carefully tear them into a few pieces, so they can’t be re-used. Then I make SURE to deposit them in the nearest covered wastebasket. I even carry them in my purse, until I can find an appropriate place to dispose of them. ---

My former church used to believe in the efficacy of those tracts. From the artwork, you can pretty much spot them from a distance. Also, from that particular tract, it seems before the flood, there were lots of intelligent people around. It was CecilWorld! ---

The “Sin City” tract is an instant classic, very much in the Jack Chick Bizarro World tradition. [li]Homosexuals run the government and the police.[/li][li]Homosexuals are ultraviolent toughs bent on killing innocent Christians.[/li][li]Homosexuals entice young people into the “gay lifestyle”.[/li][li]All you need to do to turn straight is to recite a simple formula and, poof, no more poofter![/li] There are not enough rolling eye smileys to adequately express my disgust with Chick and his agitprop, but it is an interesting glimpse of how Fred Phelps and his tribe view the world. I’m curious, since the Christian god as seen in Chick’s tracts seems to enjoy sending people to eternal damnation, is there any real difference between Chick’s god and Satan? ---

What IS it about this place that makes me want to do Bad Things, like click on those links? I KNOW better, but still, I do it anyway. Gaaaaaaaaaah. What I thought was rather odd was Janet’s “He was going to destry Mother Earth???” thing. AS IF she’d never even been in the same COUNTY as SOMEONE who had EVER DRIVEN PAST a CHURCH or a LIBRARY before! GAAAAAAH! If she’s a COLLEGE student, she’s taken at least ONE ANCIENT HISTORY class, and EVERY civilization has at least ONE flood story! What college is she going to??? Bob’s Discount College O’ Bad Science, Haridressing, and Drive-Thru Technology??? Don’t even get me STARTED on that doctor inn “That Crazy Guy!” I think that buttmunch went to the same college. ---

RE: space for animals In figuring _average_ space per animal, you’re failing to calculate space _needed_ per animal. I’ve forgotten all statistics & math terminology, so work with me here. Some of those animals were **vewy, vewy small**. I mean, since God chose to save fleas, ticks, roaches, mosquitos, tapeworms, silverfish, so on and et cetera, some very large percentage of those 50,000 (?right?) didn’t need much space. All the parasites, for instance, must have traveled on or in the other animals, thereby giving up their .75m for the greater good. Of course that leaves us with another question: If evolution doesn’t occur, and Noah only had 50,000 animals / 2 animals per species = 25,000 species … Where did all the rest of them come from?? 😃 Somewhere I’ve got a collection of Chicks; dunno where they’ve gotten off to, probably in the garage with the rest of my library. They used to be easy to find 'round here - public restrooms were a common drop point. Actually, you’d see them just about anywhere they wouldn’t be immediately thrown away. Don’t see them much any more. That sort of thing gives me hope, on my better days. ---
