# It's gonna be just fine...

The cheese are in town today, to inspect our doings. They got here ~40 minutes ago and will chew on engineering questions for a few more minutes.

Then…

I get to spend the rest of the day justifying my existence and asking for money to do things. I’m cranked and I guess I kind of feel like it’s stupid, 'cause I know everything’s going to work out just fine. It always does - nevertheless, I’m wound up. Last week was spent in 7/8 freak out mode and the last 2 days have been spent in freak out overdrive. Nothing is as I would like it to be, but no meaningful changes can be made now. I don’t think I’ve ever been as prepared as I’d like for a presentation. Well, I took a pill, avoided caffeine (well, sorta), my screens are setup and I’ve got some notes, but I’ve never been able to work from a script - I _always_ do better presenting extemporaneously. This is gonna be killer.

Whoop! Gotta go!

Hoo-hah! _That_ was fun! ~10 minutes prior to my boss and his associates coming to my office to see all the good stuff, my machine hung. Only way back was a reboot and I open one of the (bigger) projects to find most of the interpretation and displays _gone_! Ack! I check the hard drive and they’re really, really gone. So I pop in last Friday’s backup tape and forge ahead _sans_ the last two days’ work.

No canned presentation for _my_ boss, he gets to see it happen live!

But it went OK.
