Due to the blantant misuse of its and their, I present: [http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/cgi-shl/quiz.pl/its\_there\_quiz.htm](http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/cgi-shl/quiz.pl/its_there_quiz.htm) I got 9 out of 10, I missed #2. I always get confused over possessive. ---

I see possessive apostrophes appearing all the time where they donā€™t belong. For some reason, a lot of people think it makes a word plural, not possessive. 10/10. šŸ˜ƒ ---

I have an English degree and have never seen that construction before. Usually people say ā€œHis fear that it would be a long season seemed contagious.ā€ Donā€™t they? ---

ā€œIts beingā€ translates as ā€œof it beingā€. Seeing as it isnā€™t an abbreviated ā€œit isā€ ā€“ ā€œitsā€ is the only option. Dunno. Iā€™ve seen that tons of times ā€“ Iā€™m surprised others here havenā€™t. ---

Thatā€™s what I love about this place. This may be the only forum on the www where people are adept at spelling and grammar! No LOL-ing, ROTF-ing, or N E way-ing here. Hopefully I will never have to see the usage of the commonly misspelled ā€œnooneā€ in place of ā€œno oneā€ ever again! 10/10 ---
