It's kind of sad when you think about it. POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Actually, the investors who paid millions of dollars for Brock and crew to find that diamond probably do need it spelled out for them. Really slow at that. And I seriously doubt they’re going to say “Oh, wow, that really makes me see things differently” once it has been. Brock’s career is pretty much over.

“Love…Someday somebody is going to tally up the cost of that particular illusion.” - Pete, Oliver Platt’s character in The Ice Harvest.

well, yeah, which is why the ending they chose was better, because it implies brock is left thinking the necklace was lost, instead of letting him hold it in his hand for just a second and deliberately throwing it overboard. i think the former is a little kinder, and it sure as hell is easier to explain to the investors that it couldn’t be recovered than it would be to explain he actually had the priceless diamond in his hand and let it slip away. i mean, i get what they were doing, the scene is supposed to act as a counterpart to the scene where jack and rose first meet, but it really fell flat for me.

But Wesley sailed in a regular ship, attacked by Previous Roberts. Everyone in the ship Wesley was in was murdered.
