I hate when that happens! BTW, said foo-foo dog thinks she’s white fang so said foo foo apparel may end up looking more like Where the Wild Things Are.
Irk is very boresome today. The muckety-mucks are all heading out for New Yawk City for a weekend of glad handing and it’s a 3-day weekend (thank you DC main office) so a lot of people are goofing off, erm, taking off and not much is coming my way.
Tonight’s dinner will be grilled marinated breasteses and chilled asparagas spears with creme fraiche (okay it’s really only sour cream) but sounds more fancy town that way.

Howdy from da cave! ‘Tis all cloudy and eighty Amurrkin out. Feels like it should be stormin’ but no prediction of storms has been forthcomin’. I shall nukelate some ham 'n bean soup and make some cornbread muffins for dindin. Easy and nummy. Go Me!

Home. Tahred. Stopped at WalMart enroute for a few necessaries and assorted miscellaneous. \*\*FCD \*\*is snoozing - poor baby hasn’t been feeling all that great - and I’m making jazzed-up hamburger helper for supper - it’s the N.O.T. stroganoff variety,and I’ve added peas, onions, and mushrooms. That makes it almost healthy!! 😃
I got an email from the guy I’m doing the drawings for asking if I could access a certain link. I got to it and registered, and apparently that sent a message to Missy Prissy, because she came charging down to my cube asking WHY did I need access. I told her “I don’t know - Bob wanted to know if I could get access, so I created an account.” WHY??? _“I don’t know - Bob wanted to know if I could get access, so I created an account.”_ WHY??? Lather, rinse, repeat. Sheesh. Anyway, I got everything set up and I emailed Bob to tell him I was in. I asked “Do I win a prize??” He said I probably wouldn’t want what I was getting… he’s going to go over things with me tomorrow. So whatever.
Looking forward to Big Bang Theory tonight - both Bob Newhart and Bill Nye the Science Guy are going to be guest stars! Woohoo!! 😃 Yeah, I’m easy to please sometimes.
Meanwhile, it’s time to stir the HH. Happy Thursday!!

Does remind me of one of my favorite Whiskypalian jokes.
A woman dies and goes to heaven, and St. Peter takes her on a tour. They pass a pit where people were gnashing their teeth and wailing, and the woman asks, “Who’s down there?”
St. Peter says, “Oh, those are the Catholics who ate meat on Fridays.”
They walk a little farther and there’s another pit with more groaning and wailing, and she says, “Okay, who’s down there?”
St. Peter answers, “Those are the Baptists who went to dances.”
A little farther along, there’s another pit filled with people gnashing their teeth and crying and ripping their garments. The woman asks, “And those people?”
St. Peter replies, “Those are the Episcopalians who ate their salads with their fish forks.”

Gas has dropped under $3 in some stations around here and people are peeing themselves with delight. On the news, they just interviewed a woman who passed a station that had it at $3.03, but when it dropped to $2.99, she stopped to fill up. For a 20 gallon fill-up, she’d save a whopping 80 cents! :rolleyes: I guess it’s psychological.
Supper was pretty good. Shortly, I will assume the knit position. It’s gonna drop into the 30s tonight - \*brrrrrrrr! \*The evil weather guy even said the s-word in next week’s forecast. Dammit!!

Huh. Thanks to that thread, I now know that there is a such thing as a butter pick.
So today was Go Through the Lost & Found Bin day. I scored a book to go to the used book store, a book I want to read, and a book that was never returned to a middle school library. I looked up the school and discovered it’s not that far from us. I mailed it back to the school when I got done with irk. Hey, I used to be in the schools (and hope to one day be again), I know what their budgets are like.
Oh, and my home intarwebs are back on. As you can see!
