It’s going to be about 50°F here today. I noticed the crocus peeking out of the ground. I saw a robin and a chickidee yesterday. I’m sorry for all of you in the cold. I hate being cold. ---

Morning! Afternoon! Foggy here in Central CA which means it is cold for this area. No where close to the real freeze going on elsewhere but cold for here. And I have gotten soft since living here. So Brrrrrrrr! 😃 Technology is failing me this morning. Internet keeps crapping out. Corporate travel website is making me full of Grrrr as it is not booking travel properly - seats, frequent traveller info, fulling ticketing the whole itinerary amongst other things, the internal recruiting database keeps timing out on any changes I make, searches are not running properly etc etc Never mind - we are one day closer to the weekend already! 😃 ---

A little free verse from me: It was 9 degrees out this morning. N-I-N-E Nine Frikkin’ Degrees. Winter Sucks. So, lessee, what’s exciting here? Tonight \*\*FCD \*\*packs for his trek to Yuma. He’s being picked up at 0400 tomorrow, so he doesn’t have to drive to the airport. Yay. While he’s gone, I’ll take his truck in for an oil change and general going-over. And tomorrow afternoon, I’m going with daughter to the Peace Corps talk. \*\*BBBobbio \*\*is coming to dinner on Weds - do I cook a real meal or just make a coupla grilled cheese sammiches? 😃 I’ll be nice and cook. I think I’d better get a litter box out there, because I fear s/he may be using the sawdust. I came home today and the water dish was frozen over. I did have lunch with a couple friends and then made a big pot of spaghetti and had two friends over for dinner and then we sat around knitting and talking. It says it’s better after it sits for a day, so we’re going to try it after dinner tonight. I started fingerless mittens on Friday while I had a knitting friend around to help me. So far, I only have the cuff going, but it involved my first cables so I’m already having fun. ---

Howdy Y’all! One down and four to go! It’s 58 Amurriin here and cloudin’ up. Tomorrow’s forecest is heavy rain. So, natch I get to go traipsin’ around in it for irk. Dindin tonight was leftovers from yesterday. Tomorrow will be better cause I have a pot roast simmerin’ with baby **N.O.T.** and carrots. Thus da cave smells yummerific right now. It’ll be done in just a little while and tomorrow it will be just heat 'n eat! I envision lima beans and cornbread to go with pot roast. **MOOOOOOM** I suggest fish sticks, **N.O.T.** tots and creamed corn. Yay for 'im indoors **BooFae**! ---

Supper was chunks of N.O.T., onions, honey baked ham, and peas all cooked together. Quick and easy, which worked for me today. Plus cheesecake. 😃 **swampy** , I don’t know if I could cook such a meal - it frightens me! :eek: That’s all I’ve got. It’s gonna be a short night - oh well. I’ll deal. Pot roast is done and in da fridge. I’s sleepified and it’s not even eight p.m. I may just go beddy bye anyhow in a few minutes. **MOOOOOOM** I’ll admit that meal is a bit of a culinary challenge but it shouldn’t frighten you! 😛 ---

I’m looking for Friday, too. We had a great time at the Science Centre today, but Mr. Lissar’s still feeling pretty sick and Tom Kitten has a cold and is grumpy and wants to be held all the time, which is cute, but he weighs about 22lbs. He gets heavy. Anyway, the rest of the week seems too long. Tomorrow Gnat’s at my parents’ and I think I’ll clean a little and do some regular bread and some cinnamon buns for a friend. ---

I made stroganoff and rice and field peas for dinner. Yum! I’ve found Basic Yoga for Dummies on youtube - I’m gonna check it out this evening, after dinner gets a bit more digested. I had a good workout today. I actually ran a total of about three minutes on the treadmill, as well as walking and the stationary bike. ---

Yay for **'im indoors** and his new contract! [Baking video](http://www.vincent.talleu.com/videos)I meant to share late last week. Click on the croissants one. It’s at a bakery, so it’s not what you’d do at home, but they make a number of yummy-looking baked goods. Am trying to reach my mom, but apparently have a wrong cell #. The power is completely out in her building and apparently she doesn’t have a corded phone any more. And, of course, no one in my family is home right now and her best friends have her landline number but not her current cell. I’m sure she’s fine, but I’m used to calling her every week and I want to hear about why my cousin broke up with her boyfriend, and I know Mom’s worried because we can’t call her. So, boo. Guess I’ll try to finish knitting the first of my nephew’s gloves… Back later. Hugs. GT ---

A circuit breaker popped in my apartment today and I lost my power. Annoyingly, I live in a duplex and the popped breaker is in the other half. So I had no power until my neighbours got home. Setting this week’s bar on mundane pointlessness high. ---
