COLD!!! 2° - luckily without wind at the moment. But this is supposedly the worst of it and tomorrow it’ll get closer to normal temps - 30s… I got up to drive \*\*FCD \*\*to work since his right leg is the messed-up one. I’m at home. He’s driving. He’s insane. He’ll call me later to bring down the truck and the trailer to pick up 800# of aluminum scrap. Can’t wait. Never marry a crazy man - he’ll take you with him. Happy Firday! Afternoon all! Wandered down Ikea for some reasonably priced fries, veggie hotdog and milkshake. It’s only down the road, so not much if a mission- except I forgot it was half term, so all the kiddies are off, and apparently all their parents take them to play down there… Heaving with brats. My news for the day is that the two housemates who aren’t the landlord are apparently actually moving out! They’ve been talking about it for ages, but have finally found somewhere, which means we shall shortly be catless. I think they’re going to drive each other mad actually- he’s really messy, and he won’t tidy up anything unless you ask him (as in, you need to go ‘Could you wash up your cooking things please’ every day, or he won’t. If you don’t ask ‘politely’ enough, he won’t, if he’s in a bad mood, he won’t), she’s the person who constantly complains about the mess. She’s also someone who really cares about the decorating (part of her reason for wanting to move), he’s happily living in a room with tar all over the walls (don’t ask) with a duvet inner with no cover and a caseless pillow, which he lets the cat sleep on (his room really is revolting). His sole decoration is a heap of empty pizza boxes which haven’t made it downstairs yet. They’re also both really touchy people, and the landlord is the normal peacemaker… The good thing for me is that it means I can move into her old room, which means I’ll no longer be in the room with the boiler; I like it colder than everyone else, and I’ve been stuck in the hottest bedroom. I’ll miss the cats though, except the cleaning cat pee out of the shower and having them dive through my bedroom window onto my face if I leave it open. Apparently there’s already a new person lined up to move in, a friend of the landlord, so I hope she’s nice. ---

It’s up to like 3 below. I think we may have just set a record last night. All things considered I could do without a repeat of that for a while. Now after all this they are saying we could get some rain tomorrow. Rain hitting ground basically turned tundra? I predict ice skates as the only safe mode of transportation. ---

Happy Firday! It’s a sunny 7degrees. It was 0 when I let the dog out earlier, when I opened the door the cold slapped me in the face. Another nothing day I think, nothing special. I may do some laundry, probably not. I have a few calls to make, always my favorite thing to do. I need to pay a few bills. I’m not old enough to be this boring. ---

I managed to get the trailer of aluminum into the yard. Now I just have to dig out the side gate so I can get the truck out of the yard! Since it’s supposed to warm up this weekend, I’ll wait. I’d rather shovel in rain and temps in the 40s than sun and 12°. Especially since the gate area isn’t entirely sunny. I just finished a lunch of leftover sketties. I should probably unload the dishwasher and put some stuff away. Eventually. ---
