This makes no sense at all. If it was on broadcast TV (whatever that is anymore…), then it would be unavailable the second the broadcast ended, until (maybe) the next year. How is that better? ---

I have an Android phone. As a family, we don’t gather around to watch things on a computer screen. I’m not sure if one of my smart devices has apple+ or whatever on it. Is there an Android app I can cast from? Or am I limited to whatever apps are on the smart TV or blue ray player? ---

I mean, every year they air it on broadcast TV, it has to be negotiated and paid for. It’s not like there’s a magic Charlie Brown broadcasting fairy that Apple killed. CBS didn’t use it as a loss leader for a an over priced cable subscription service that nobody asked for and nobody with an ounce of respect will pay for. ---

Seriously. We’re so inured to advertisements that people treat them as costless. I’d much rather pay a few bucks to have my kids watch the cartoons and not advertisements. I signed up for Apple TV in order to watch the third “Long Way…” installment of Ewan McGregor and his pal Charley Boorman’s motorcycle adventures. This time they’re riding from Tierra del Fuego to LA on prototype electric Harley Davidsons. I signed up for a free week but I should’ve waited since they haven’t posted all the episodes yet. It’s worth $4.99 to see the whole season but I won’t be renewing my subscription once it’s over. ---

The TV I have is just fine, even if it is 10 years old. Frankly, after reading that Smart TVs have [significant security issues](https://www.businessinsider.com/smart-tv-security-fbi-warning-2019-12), I have no interest in acquiring one ever unless and until the manufacturers can figure out a way to close those holes. ---
