# It's official, I'm crawling with spirochetes!

The test is back! I’ve got [Lyme Disease](http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/).  
Never saw a tick or a bite or anything. What’s worse is that I had to go to the Doctor three times before they figured it out. On the first visit, I told them I’m outdoors a lot and they did a blood test, but no Lyme test. Then I went back with spots and body aches and my Doctor thought I was allergic to acetaminophen :dubious: . The last doctor listened for about two minutes and then said, “You have Lyme disease.” She didn’t wait for the test. She seemed to think it was obvious and, after I read the brochure and saw the pictures of the kind of spots one gets, I thought it was obvious too. I can see how it would be hard to diagnose if the patient isn’t exhibiting all the symptoms, but I had ALL OF THEM! Togather! :smack:

Oh well, I’m on the meds and on the mend. Hopefully I’ll have a full recovery. Anyone else had this?

That really sucks! At least it sounds like it was caught early. My Mom was suffering for YEARS before she was diagnosed, and now she basically has it permanently. (HMO’s suck.)
