# It's official: Obama has an electability of zero (but will win anyway)

Straight from the [Annals of Improbable Research](http://improbable.com/2008/08/29/barack-obama-will-win-the-2008-us-presidential-election/) comes this little gem, a formula to predict the outcome of the next US election. Notice Obama’s score of 0, which looks pretty good compared to McCain’s -104.

The formula is based on data from US election history, and accurately predicted the last election. Success rate = 100% !

Ok, so I didn’t even see your thread until reading the, “What was your first thread?” thread. But it did seem to warrant more than zero responses.
