I generally take the lazy route and just call it a 'scrip. 🆒 ---

Three syllables? You were lucky. We had to make do with two. Not just any old two, but “scrip-shun”, we’d say. And we were grateful for it. (Non-Python addition - yes, here it’s at most "p’scrip-shun’. Is that right or wrong, in your assessment? 😉 ) ---

But they say it wrong on tv! No surprise there, but I hear in ads for drugs. Don’t get me wrong, I love slang and colloquialisms. But when it’s (semi-) formal, it should be right. People (kids) learn from exposure. Casual speak should be a second language. When I say “colloquialism” I mean like hip hop, not only regional. ---

Those yummy chocolate and peanutbutter confections are pronounced Ree _sez_ not REE \*seez \*. I’m not sure why some people have the need to mispronounce it as if it rhymes with “feces” but it doesn’t, so stop it now. And the thing that your camera produces is a \* Pic \* cher. NOT a !$%\* \* Pit \* cher. Arrrrrrgh! I can usually control my urge to be the word Nazi, but in this case all bets are off. ---
