Finally we are actually getting some normal weather for December and some much needed moisture (although the snow we are getting is pretty poor in moisture content, every little bit helps). Might be a white Christmas after all. ---

We’re supposed to get snow in the Twin Cities later today - thank you for sending it over, **Kimballkid**! Now maybe it will start to feel Christmassy. Although it’s supposed to hit during rush hour. You would _THINK_ Minnesotans would know how to drive in snow. Ha. ---

Out here on the north **wet** coast it’s still raining. Snow in the mountains and passes, but nothing in the lowlands next to the water. I find myself wanting snow, and dreading it. It’s pretty, and since I telecommute three days out of five it’s not too much a bother. OTOH, both of my knees are destroyed and I have a problem hitting ice patches when I walk. And it’s cold. No matter. In a week and a day I’ll be wearing shorts and T-shirts and trying not to sweat in the 70º+ weather, and gobbling muffalettas and beignets. ---

Last weekend I was up in the mountains and we had a really beautiful snowfall up there. It was like a postcard. Except Sunday night I was out in the snow and mud and pouring rain, in the pitch black with nothing but a flashlight, holding two big bags of dirty laundry, trying to figure out how to open someone else’s hatchback. Put a bit of a damper on the end of the weekend. ---

It’s raining in Toronto and will be for the next few days. I guess I should take advantage of this break to get the snowblower serviced and ready for when it inevitably does turn to snow. ---

Snow? Where? We had some early season snow in our local mountains around Lake Tahoe, but the series of storms last weekend were really wet and really warm. Snow levels were up to 9,000 feet (above most of the terrain around the lake), when they should be in the 5 to 6,000 range for this time of year. All that early season snow got washed away. ☹ ---

People forget how to drive in snow between every bleeping snowfall. _“Hey, there’s 6” of snow on the ground and everyone is sliding wildly! I know, I’ll try to pull out directly in front of this car in exactly the same manner I wouldn’t dare try in the summer on dry pavement!_" But yeah, very very happy to see the snow coming down. I shall enjoy it more when I’m sitting on the bus watching _Hogfather_ and smiling at the traffic. 😃 Oh man, we need the moisture! ---

I love snow! It can snow all it wants all winter long as far as I care. Unless… Unless the snow lands on the road and stays there. Then, we have a very serious problem my friend :mad:. You see, the slightest amount of rain or snow causes most of the drivers here to lose their minds and either drive waaaay too slow, or waaay too fast. Accidents and delays ensue. No me gusta. Frost and thick ice on my windshield can DIAF, which is apropos because that would actually resolve the issue.
