Ohhh… It’s not just you, **mske**. I’ve seen literally thousands of occurrences of this lately. And I never, ever exaggerate. Heck, I even saw a moderator do it. Can you imagine? They should be held to a much higher spelling standard. ---

Like I said in another thread where the word was misspelled: Maybe the people who spell it “hampster” are unduly influenced by that incredibly cheesy song “The Hamster Dance” by “Hampton the Hamster” that came put a couple of years ago? F\_X ---

I just had a flashback to a grade school science fair project I had done on the effect of nutrition on intelligence. I fed hamsters a series of diets deficient in various vitamins and ran them through mazes. Maybe I should have tested myself too; it wasn’t until the fair had started that I realized that in all of my written material - including the large sign over my display - I had spelled it ham **p** sters. ---

Something I found out a while ago: [www.hamsterdance.com](http://www.hamsterdance.com) and [www.hampsterdance.com](http://www.hampsterdance.com) are both the same website.
