ETA: I, for example, found out about this board because I had been a regular follower of Cecil’s column in the dead-tree papers, since before Internet days, and from there I found his on-line column, and from there I found this board. ---

I’m already here but I’ve tried searching for old columns (particularly when they seemed relevant to new threads) and had very little luck finding the right ones. The column database seems to be screwed up. ---

I much prefer a dark mode so I’ll be using that if it’s an option. I just realised that the English premier League restarts on Wednesday and the SDMB makes its big move on Thursday. What an exciting week! ---
