They can do it right now with their imagination. I don’t have a problem with people masturbating, so I don’t have a problem with this. I thought it was rather odd that, on TNG, people did apparently have a problem with it, especially with Roddenberry’s ideals where people don’t even let the death of a loved one overly affect them. I can’t see why I wouldn’t be just as flattered as I am now when someone fantasizes about me. It’s irrelevant that they now can see me in real life. Those shrines that you see on TV are only creepy because it shows how obsessed they are. Using a [del]holodeck[/del]HoloSoft like that would not require any fantastical level of devotion. ---
