@aurora_maire Add me to the list of those wishing you the best of luck capturing the wee fuzz ball. Super mini rants: Spent four hours working in the yard yesterday, between raking, trimming back plants and mowing. Looked beautiful. Well, most looked great. In the side yard was _something_ rancid. Looked like a corn cob, but was super slimy and reeked like rancid milk. The one insta gag smell I can’t handle. So only part of the sideyard was done and luckily I had a lawn bag near to vomit in. Today, ahead of a big front moving in, it’s windy as hell. Can’t tell I did a damn thing. And today I had a list of stuff to accomplish. Need to finish a sewing project before Friday. Massive headache means no. Need to get a bunch of baking done also before Friday. The quesies are saying I probably shouldn’t chance it. And, from the yard work yesterday, I am so congested and miserable I just want to cry, but that’ll make my headache worse and generate even more snot. ---

When I opened the hood it was sitting on the engine and I grabbed it. About an hour ago I found a home for it with someone from Nextdoor. I’ve delivered the kitten to her and all should be well. At least once it finally gets a chance to relax and feel safe. ---

I rarely pit our own, and have never pitted Dopers as a group … and I realize there’s a learning curve with new technology … but I wish all y’all could figure out how to quote, instead of just replying with no context. I’m getting sick of posts that amount to, “Yeah, Bob, me too!” replying to some remark posted waaaayyy upthread, usually with just an initial letter instead of an avatar to identify who they’re replying to, and I have no idea what Bob said originally. Fuckin’ _quote_ whatever Bob said four days ago, then post your “Yeah, me too!” ETA: error, “to whom they’re replying” ---

Like it just did on this one; let’s see if removing the quote tag and just making it a block quote helps. (It does! Huzzah!) And I’ve learned that if you click on the little arrow next to the name of the person being replied to, you’ll see the post being replied to. ---

That would send my blood pressure through the roof. I live in Trump-loving gun nut country. In my neighborhood we have those “thin blue line” flags and Trump signs everywhere. Some asshole just put up a sign that says, “My governor is an idiot. Pure Moron.” (A riff on “Pure Michigan.” Ya know, the same governor who has been threatened in a kidnapping plot by domestic terrorists. I don’t think the timing was a coincidence. Asshat. ---

I make it a point to make an unobtrusive alteration to the text (swap out an uppercase I for a lowercase L, add a space) to accomplish the same thing.
