Yeah, _that’s_ normal! :rolleyes: I’m not complaining, as it certainly lowers my lightbill, but come on! How can anyone experience weather like this and _not_ say, “You know, I think there might be something to this whole global warming thing after all.”? ---

They’ve sent my annual allotment to the needy in other places around the country. BTW - it was 42 degrees in Minneapolis today, and there is zero snow on the ground. 😃😃😃 ---

Well, today we got a high of 13C (which is around 55F by my calculations), and it’s meant to be _summer_ down here! Where the hell are the 25+ days we were promised?? How are we meant to have a traditional Christmas barbecue (like Jesus himself had) if it keeps raining like this? Damn you God, I spit in your face!! ---

Actually, **normal** for the globe is cold, dry and very icey, with the times in between (like now) considered as **inter** galcials (lasting up to a few hundred or few thousand years) when the weather is much warmer and moister than during the predominant climatic norm. If you want _normal_, better start building that igloo and stocking up on animal pelts for protection. 😉 ---

almost 80 here. I wore a tshirt, shorts, and flip flops today when I went outside to put up Christmas lights. It’s normally about time to go see the light displays downtown, but we’ll wait until there’s some more Christmas-y weather. ---

It may please you to know that, 21 years ago, on December 31st at my first wedding, it hit 80 degrees in Oxford, Mississippi. I think warming has been here all along 😉 ---

High of 11C here in the outskirts of Toronto today. We’ll be dipping down towards 1 or 2C some time in the coming week with the possibility of a few tiny flurries and a 14-day trend that still won’t hit freezing. So yeah, very green Christmas here. (Sorry, **LiLi**! I tried!) As much as I quite like the lack of snow, Christmas _should_ be white. It can be green all it wants afterwards, but December 25th (and preferably the 24th, too) should be blanketed in snow! Oh well. I guess I shouldn’t complain. I hate all that snow and ice and crap, so sure, pass me summa that Global Warming. ---

It’s making me nervous. Last time we had a week or so of nice mild weather (at the first of this month), we ended up getting hit with a metric assload of snow. I don’t want any more snow. Snow is bad. If aliens ever wanted to invade and take over all they’d have to do is make it snow, and then everyone on the planet would forget how to drive, slide off into the ditch, and they’re nice and immobilized so the Martians can just come by and pick them up. ---

As a Floridian I began to get bored of Christmas in T-shirt and shorts. I mean, there is something to waking up on a cold day with the windows fogged and snow outside. At least - to my childlike ideal. Then I went to Atlanta for a few years and the freezing rain they experienced, or even the mild cold days, made me enjoy the warm Christmas day all the more. At least I don’t have to mow the lawn. My sister did come over to wash her car yesterday though. Today’s forecast - 79 degrees and overcast.
