Howdy Y’all! I had nummy butterfly shrimpies, a baked N.O.T., fried okra and hush puppies for dindin. Nummy and nutritious. Healthy too cause okra is green. OYKW had butterfly shrimpies with fried okra, coleslaw and hush puppies so he might have eaten just a little healthier than me the showoff. Plus as an appetizer we shared an order of fried dill pickles. What? The little boogers are gooooooood! After that he came on to da cave while I braved a trip to Mediacom (cable folk) to pick up digital adapters that I must have before the end of August and since I was nearby I decided to just go ahead. Kinda burns me though. They are free until November of next year and then it’s a buck ninety-nine a month for each adapter. I have four tvs that needed the adapters. The tv in the livin’ room has a cable box so it didn’t need one. Anywho, they are all installed and in a few minutes I shall call and activate 'em. Apparently one must wait twenty minutes before one can call and activate after installation, so that means at 7:20 I can call because I got the last one installed right at 7:00 P.M. Then I get to program remotes. Tell me I don’t know how to live it up on a Firday night! I eat corn on the cod just for the halibut. 😃 ---

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Da bear is displeased, nay, highly pissed, with Mediacom. So, I hook up all those little boxes with which they are to extort money for, wait the requisite twenty minutes, call, and get “we’re sorry there is an error with your activation. please hold for the next representative.” So, Mr. representative tells me it will be Monday before any activations will happen. This is after I’m told to go ahead and do it tonight at the local Mediacom office. :mad: They should all be force fed a gallon of cold fart blossoms each. ---

**Swampy** , This is just exactly why you need to have SHARKS all handy and in the pool. Bet if you went down to the local Mediacom orfice with a SHARK in tow, they would immediately get you fixed up. See now, **Spidey, Flytrap and Myself** were really doing you a favor. 🆒 **Jim** ---

Why did the corn salesman give up his job for a life of piracy? Because he only made a good buccaneer. Reserved myself some tickets to the improv shows tomorrow. And heck, maybe I can hang around the perimeter of the music festival and listen to music through the fence or something? Bah, I’m kind of silly sometimes. ---

**Jim** while I do appreciate you alls efforts, a strategically placed box of pointy stick wieldin’ Sri Lankan spiders is much more subtle which is much more my style. Besides, I’d have to fill up a tank with salt water, fish out a shark, put said shark in the tank, load the tank onto a trailer, hook the trailer up to twuck, drive to Mediacom, get the shark in a tank inside the buildin’ then unleash the shark which would probably die unless I also filled up Mediacom’s buildin’ with salt water. Waaaaaaaay to much trouble. 😃 ---

Back twuck as close to pool as possible, loose the winch, take cable over brush guard, over headache rack, with a little extra poolside. I can assume you have collared and put a long lead on your SHARK. Attach winch cable to lead and slowly winch into twuck. Drive to Mediacom, prop open front door, back to said door, disconnect SHARK from winch and drop tailgate. It is enough water with a SHARK in it. 😃 Besides not being subtle I am also loud, I am sure none of you are surprised by this revelation. This day in 1973, I raised my hand, swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and boarded a plane to Orlando, thus beginning what would become a 37-year career, military and civil servant. I was a new recruit - a Baby Bootie, as the senior recruits called us - and it was my first day in the Navy. I remember the airport in Orlando had tons of construction ongoing (Disney World was still shiny and new) and it rained that evening, and the barracks were COLD!!! I wasn’t used to air conditioning and I had a miserable first night. I slept in my yellow robe, and when I woke, the sheets on my bed were yellow-ish - cheap dye on a cheap robe. ick. Forty years ago… dang. So, in honor of the occasion, I’m hoping \*someone \*in my zone goes out crabbing today!! I also plan to get a little studio time. \*\*FCD \*\*is going to my sister’s party, and even if I didn’t have work, I don’t know if I’d go. I don’t enjoy hanging out with people who just sit around and drink. Not my idea of fun… \*\*Sticky \*\*- I just looked at the weather radar - alas, PA appears to be in the path of much precip. Hope it’s not too bad where you’re going!! Meanwhile, the house is open to let in the cool and Higgs is already driving me crazy. And that’s the way it is at FairyChatEstates! 😃 Happy Saturday! ---
