Eh, the specific instance of sexual assult that has been such a bone of contention here is going to be judged at trial in a few months, and then, barring a plea agreement that leaves this one out, we’ll see what’s what. I suppose there’s a remote chance this one specific instance may have been included to pad out the indictment, but on the flip side we have sworn testimony, given independently by several of the victims, of numerous similar assaults carried out repeatedly by Sandusky in showers at Penn State athletic facilities. I fully realize that an indictment is not a presumption of guilt, but for cryin’ out loud, the idea that every one of more than fifty counts of similar assaults might be completely bogus, or that this one alone, of all others, is false seem a bit of a stretch. **SA** can argue all he wants that Paterno is a victim of unfair accusations, but basing such an argument on a series of increasing absurd hypotheticals in order to claim that no assault happened at all seems pretty much a non-starter. ---

[Moderating] Every time I think **Starving Artist** has reached the bottom of the barrel, he breaks out a hatchet and chops his way down to new depths. That said, being a skeevy, intellectually dishonest moron is not, as it happens, a violation of the SDMB rules, so it’s not necessary to report any more of his posts in this thread, at least for those reasons. Thanks to all of you for keeping an eye out, and all, but he’s tragically in the clear so far. Let me just state that, from my _personal_ experience, it is perfectly possible for a grown man of around 6-foot to fuck an _8yo_ boy in the ass in a standing position. A shortish-for-his-age 8-yo boy at that. ---
