Sorry, **martu**. Your entire synopsis is full of specious, dishonest crap framed in specious dishonest ways. My synopsis was spot on, yours is contrived to serve an argument you can’t make by being factual and honest. Thus I’m shown once again to be… Winning! P.S. - Paterno wasn’t told 'til the next day. Is it your belief he should have immediately rushed from his house to the shower to break up the still ongoing rape from the night before that he was never told about? If you want to blame somebody for not making sure the kid was all right, then blame McQueary. After all, if someone reports to the police they saw a rape taking place the night before, the cops don’t all spring into action, combing the city intent on keeping the victim safe. Instead they gather the facts, investigate as best they can, and whatever action the evidence they’ve developed dictates, up to and including nothing if they can’t find a victim and can’t prove a rape. ---

McQueary is at fault no doubt but the thing about this case is that there is a lot of fault to throw around. Paterno should have confronted Sardusky directly, ask him what was going on and ask to speak to the boy involved. That way no police or outside involvement until he knows something for sure is up, if it was innocent no harm done. If he had done that Sardusky would have been discovered a lot earlier and some kids would not have been harmed. ---

SA’s performance is simply the most awesome display of ‘don’t tell me to stop digging, I’ll be out of here soon’ I’ve ever witnessed. I’m not totally disagreeing with your assessment, but to be fair, **Gfactor** didn’t issue a warning and the mod note he did post was for improper language, not for ‘standing up to **SA** ’. To add to **El Kabong** ’s comments it has already been noted that describing child molestation is within the rules (however distasteful) while certain words are explicitly _verboten_. It’s not a perfect system but it works most of the time. ---
