The test is so easy that I am actually standing in that position now as I type (not kidding, I seriously am, my butt is hovering above my chair without touching it, the top surface of chair seat is 22" off the ground). My tendons are not snapping, my back has not just given out due to the extreme stress, it’s really not a problem at all. It’s actually so easy that I’m now wondering what prevented you from successfully doing it. Is it your weight? Do you only have 1 leg? Are you missing the tendons in your legs due to a horrific gardening accident? ---

Is there any end in sight for this thread? I just can’t imagine it. I think that the biggest problem is that nobody seems to be addressing the most important point (at least as far as **SA** and **NLP** are concerned): did JP know about what was going on, and did he do anything to prevent a more thorough investigation after finding out about JS’s “indiscretions”. Arguing with **SA** about anything else is a no win proposition, because, ultimately, his entire argument has to do with JP, not with paper towel tubes, or the differences between standing and crouching, or naked hugging, or the good old days. Personally, I think that JP did cover up, or at least turned a blind eye for the sake of the program (and “the greater good”) and I believe more weight should be given to one of his final public statements: (something to the effect of) I wish I had done more. ---

I think the thread will come to a dignified end now that Sandusky’s letter to the judge—in which he takes full responsibility for his crimes and apologizes unreservedly to his victims—has come to light, along with the similarly penitent missive from Mrs. Sandusky. ---
