Morning! Thanks for the anniversary wishes. Today is my B’Day so I am off work. So far I have slept in, been out for brekkie, got coffee and generally been lazy. This afternoon I have a massage & facial then I am going by the outlet mall to spend some money. 😃 Surely she isn’t old enough to have a boyfriend round **soapy**?:eek:😃 Happy Friday everyone! ---

All the lawn-mowing is done, the mowers are put away, and I’m showered and dressed in clean, non-sweaty clothes. Since \*\*Taters \*\*let me down, I’ve got to go load my dishwasher and wipe down my own counters. Guess I know how \*I \*rate… ☹ 😃 I think I’m done working outside for the day, as lovely as it is. The push mowing pretty well kicked my butt. It would have been lots easier if one leg was shorter than the other. Maybe I’ll just stake a goat on the hill and let that be that. Anyway, apart from the aforementioned dishes, all I need to worry about today is supper. We’ll see what happens there… ---

Took a Xanax OD in a little bit ago. A nothing call, but while there I asked about this morning’s drama llama screamer. Her knee was legitimately infected, which she suspected. I did not go visit, however. ---

She had to place her mother in Hospice and things, obviously, do not look good. Judy is really conscientious and is worried about not getting things done and I keep tellin’ her not to worry about irk I’ll handle stuff and if I can’t then I’ll find out who can. Thus, I get to go to Bainbridge, Jawja tomorrow morning to make our presence known at a charity event at Belk Department Store. The good part of that is I don’t have to be there until eight as opposed to the original six a.m. :eek: It takes about an hour and thirty minutes to get there from here. **gigity** good job keepin’ your 🆒. I have been told that dindin preparations are not up to me, even though I prepped the burgers and sliced the sweet **N.O.T.** for the fries and will no doubt end up fryin’ burly butcher bacon fully clothed thankyewverymuch. So, I am trustin’ OYKW with the grill and the deep fryer. It will be fine I tell myself. He’s a grown man capable of handlin’ grillin’ burgers and makin’ fries. Dindin has been cooked and consumed. Nothin’ blew up and no injuries reported. 😃 I didn’t even have to fry burly butcher bacon. I was told to sit my bear butt down until I was called to eat. So butch! So all is well in swampland. ---

Yes I do and **mr ems** is good a keeping things interesting 😃 Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. I have had the most chilled out destressing relaxing day it has been great. Went for brekkie (eggs benedict) then went to Starbucks and sat and read for about an hour, picked up a couple of things at the grocery store, skyped with my parents and opened pressies from them & my sister then I had an amazing facial and massage - I was so realaxed I was like a limp noodle walking to my car and my skin is glowing. I then went to the outlet mall on the way home and got my self a new purse, some clothes and a pressie for **mr ems** and now I am drinking a cold beer sitting on the back porch in the sunshine. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh **mr ems** has to work late so dinner will likely be pizza then tomorrow we are going to see the local minor league baseball team play and stay downtown. Next week we have concert tickets on Thursday then we are headed to Hot Springs, AR. I know how to max out a birthday! :D:D:D Gratz **rosie** on the 3lbs! **taters** & **fcm** I would ordinarily offer to help clean but I don’t cook or clean on my birthday. :D:D ---

We had a very nice day with my daughter. We took her to Five Guys for lunch, came back here and visited, played some Diablo III (beta), and some other on line game. Later, we treated her to Cold Stone Creamery. We shared lots of laughs and good conversation. I really love the young adult she has become. She’s great to be around and I always look forward to seeing her. For now, I’m going to read the news, cruise the 'net and relax. I may play a little more Diablo III beta just to kind of get used to the skill sets. It’s hard to go back to playing that way, when I had become so used to the key stroke used in WoW. Haven’t played WoW in probably two or three years, but my fingers went right to the keys I needed in that game. So weird… Tomorrow we’re going to hang out with our buddies and then on Sunday, my daughter and her sweetie are coming down to smoke meat and do something with us. Maybe we’ll ride bikes; don’t know yet. ---

Happy birthday, **ems**! **Tugig** , tell your vehicles to stop combusting. I mean, seriously. So, the Alzheimer’s was strong with Dad last night. Mom got home late, having wrapped up for four days off (she has a very weird schedule). After we’d gone to bed, and just as I was drifting off to that warm fuzzy land of sleep, Dad comes up the stairs, makes a racket with the dog gate, comes into our room without knocking, and turns on the light. Then, he sits down in the chair on Mom’s side of the bed and proceeds to tell her that he’s in Hell, that she hates him, that all he wants to do is leave and he can’t even do that, and he doesn’t understand what he did to her to make her torture him so. He’s thought about killing himself. He was a good husband. Why do we hate him so much? Blah blah blah blah blah. And I’m there for all of it, ready to stove his head in so I can just go the hell back to sleep. Poor Mom can only say every 90 seconds or so, “I’m very tired. We will talk about this in the morning.” Finally, she shuts up completely. I’m hoping she’s at least gone back to sleep. It takes Dad ten more minutes to get the hint, finally give up, and go back downstairs. Then, knowing that if he’s going to do anything foolish (hey, if anyone’s going to stove his head in, it’ll be _me_, thank you very much), I stay up for another thirty minutes, listening for movement downstairs. _sigh_ And really, all this is about is the fact that he can’t drive and he doesn’t get to carry an ATM card anymore. He’s in real pain. I understand this. He’s doing the best he can. I understand this as well. But there is no reasoning with him. There is no reassuring him. There is no explaining that at 84, he’s just as likely to lose abilities as he is to keep them. There is no making him happy. I wish it were otherwise. What I can do something about is prep for my trip, and I’m really looking forward to it. (My feet and ankles were bugging me. I told them "Look, bitches, I will duct tape you, but you are going to take me to Dallas.)
