The rain has begun, so it looks like it’ll be an inside day for me. Altho I may run to the store first. I’m showered, dressed, and more or less presentable - I think I shall venture forth. Plus I can stop somewhere for a biscuit, since I still haven’t breakfasted… ---

Don’t tell, but I’m eating Spaghettios for breakfast. Today is the end of week one of doing my knee exercises and I’m pretty frustrated. My knee is not any better and, truth be told, I think it’s actually a little bit worse. He said to try this for two weeks so I will but I’m kind of concerned at this point. I have no idea what I’m going to do next if I don’t have a miraculous recovery in the next 7 days. ☹ ---

It’s still drizzly and damp, so the closest to outside I’ll get will be the garage. I may also indulge in some Netflix. ---

You guys are going to get me in trouble for laughing too loud at work! So yesterday I bought a bunch of stuff for my house - a kitchen cart so I have some usable counter space and a little more storage, a trash can for my bathroom (it’s clear plastic from the 50s), and some fun stuff. Then I spent almost $100 on groceries, finished emptying my car, and set up a bookcase. My apartment is SOOO quiet. I get the usual noise - people walking, the rumble of the tv upstairs, etc - but it’s not like when I was living with my parents. It still feels weird. That and most of the apartment is dark, because there is no lamp in the main room. I have a light coming though, and I have a lamp that I could use if I could get to it right now (it needs to be rewired, but it’s not dangerous, and it has no shade). The guy in the apartment across from me was surprised that I was still moving stuff in. 😃 Most of my clothes are still at my parents, as well kitchen stuff, most of my office stuff, and a lot of books. ---

The main character is a free man of color - 3/4s African, 1/4 white. There are no fantastic elements, just really, really good history, characterization, and some great plots. She has also written several historical novels set in the American Revolution and one from the point of Mary Todd Lincoln (who was, indeed, batshit insane). If I were to recommend any of them to someone new, I’d say start with the Free Man of Color series. You won’t be disappointed. ---

Home from visitatin’. As I said the whole time there has been a deluge of Noahdic proportions. Still is as a matter of fact. Ima go throw a poke tenderloin on the grill in a bit. It shall be served with steamed new **N.O.T.** , broccoli and baby carrots plus rolls. MMMMMMM… dindin shall be mahvelous. Tomorrow is my Friday. Yay! As long as I can make it through it without killing anyone we should be good. The turf war I have somehow ended up in the middle off has escalated. For the love of all that is holy someone make the damn decision. I don’t care what it is or which side makes it but just do it.
