I was looking for a song on my iPod and noticed that many are not there. They are in iTunes, but somehow at my last sync about half my songs were (seemingly) randomly unchecked. So I have 1,000s of songs, some checked and some not. Is there a quick and easy way to check them all so they all sync? Thanks! ---

On a Mac, you can hold down command and click one check box and they all toggle. I assume there’s a similar key on iTunes for Windows that does the same thing. ---

Nevermind. It’s hold down CTRL while you check a box. But iTunes froze, which hasn’t happened before. ---

You could also uncheck the “Synch only checked songs and videos” box on the iPod splash screen. This won’t check the songs but it will load them to your iPod regardless of if they are checked or not. ---

If iTunes is freezing, this might be a good time to back up your library, even if it’s only into another folder on the same hard drive. I have no solid reason to think something bad will happen, but a backup might be nice to have, just in case.
