# iTunes, how do I move songs around in my playlist

Ok, my playlist is perfect here in iTunes 7. I just need to sort it now and the burn it on a CD.

Right. How do I move the songs…?

There’s this little-known feature in graphical user interfaces called “drag and drop”…

If the “Shuffle” button (on the lower left of your screen) is active, you won’t be able to drag and drop. Make sure it’s deactivated and do that “Drag and Drop” thing everybody’s talking about.

Also, make sure you haven’t sorted the list in any way (such as alphabetical order).

Right. You need it to be sorted by the play order number on the far left.
