Don’t just wing nut your comments people, actually research. The T shape of the IUD catches the eggs.
Between younger siblings, elder ones and a pair of Irish twins which were in the same group, my class of about 200 had some two dozen examples where that method had failed.
As soon as my cousin got her period, her mother got her on the Pill. Three years ago, cousin decided to get a IUD instead under the advice of her new Gyn - lo and behold, a number of minor ailments she’d suffered since her teen years went away! All of them are known side effects of the Pill.
She says the one thing she regrets about getting the IUD is not getting it sooner.
Well, if the OP didn’t get her IUD, the resulting child would be 15 by now.

I used an IUD for about a dozen years, starting in my mid-20s. Never had a problem. Or an Oops baby.
Not just that, but wing-nutted her own post with …3 situations…I forget the third. :dubious:

Perhaps, due to the wide range of experiences with this type device, women should borrow one from a friend first to see how they like it before committing - you know, an IOUD.
Judging by your username, I’d say that’s sound advice.
Because an IED would blow everything out of proportion!
