This is the very definition of mundane, but I know this is where animal lovers hang out so I thought I’d share. I was at the sink doing dishes, mind wandering as it does, when out of nowhere my shorts got pulled down from behind. Mind you, I live alone. Said perpetrator is a very “tall” kitty when he stands on his hind legs and I can only assume he was either feeling ignored or was trying to use me as scratching post. Either way, it scared the shizzle out of me. Please feel free to share any odd or fun things your rotten, furry overlords have inflicted upon you. ---

Heh, my cat has a similar punishment for me when he’s feeling ignored. He’ll sneak up from behind my recliner and attack my exposed elbows. ---

My cat pats my forehead when she’s hungry. Somehow she’s trained me to respond to this. The other one sits on his haunches and begs like a dog. Sometimes he’ll get punctuate the begging by flailing his front legs. ---

Our cat never scratches and never bites, even when you rub her belly vigorously. She’ll make a feint like she’s going to grab and bite, but always licks. Very unusual for a cat. However, she doesn’t like being ignored when we’re eating at the table and her dish is empty. That’s when our thighs get used for a scratching post. ---

I don’t have a cat anymore, but my 9 month old son does this regularly. I have no ass to speak of, so it’s not hard…I pants myself climbing stairs sometimes. Usually when my hands are full. :rolleyes: My old cat liked to beg for cold cut sandwiches. Not tuna, or things that had a big aroma. But somehow he always came running for a boring turkey on white. I once had a conure who loved to nibble my toes, but then he would get too aggressive. I got woken up a few mornings that way. :eek: He was pretty free-range. ---

I almost got pantsed by an antelope in the middle of a shopping mall. That was the last time I ever went into a petting zoo. ---

My one cat decided in the middle of the night to jump from the dresser onto the bed. She landed on ME. I woke up, screamed, and she fled. She’s never done that again. My other cat has taught me to play fetch with him. When he wants to play, he brings a catnip ball and drops it in front of me. ---

My cat likes to hang around my family at the dinner table, especially me, because he thinks he can get me to give him food. What he does that’s really annoying is that sometimes he’ll put his paws up on my leg near my butt while I’m sitting there eating dinner. Though I’ve gotten mad at him enough times over it that he usually doesn’t try it anymore. ---

I think our animals like to see us naked and think we’re stupid for wearing clothes. They would love to rip all of our clothes off and lick us all over. The other day I got up from my desk, and when I came back, the image on my laptop screen was sideways. I know what happened-- one of my cats (I have 3, plus 2 dogs) ran across the keyboard and hit some combination of keys. But what to do about it? It’s hard even to use your mouse when everything is rotated 90 degrees. Very disorienting. So I got on my kindle and googled “screen rotated 90 degrees” or something like that and found message boards with posts going back to 2009 all variations of “my cat ran across my keyboard and now it’s sideways.” It was always cats. BTW, the solution is control-alt-cursor key. I guess the spacing of these keys must correspond to the leg-span of the average house cat when in pursuit of something-or-other. This is my favorite kind of thread: pet stories, preferably feline. ---

I do this to staff who leave their desks without locking their computers – it’s a violation of corporate security and possibly HIPAA (depending on what’s on the screen). It’s an old healthcare IT joke. ---

It’s farkin’ cold _outside_ here, but anywhere from 75-80F _inside_ my apartment, depending on the radiator cycle. Even when it’s below 0F, at least my bedroom window is open about 8" and the radiator is turned off. I’m usually in panties and a t-shirt unless I have company! Back to the OP - My boy Chico likes to crawl under the covers and sleep between my feet. Sometimes he decides my feet are tasty or smelly or something in the middle of the night and starts to “clean” them. Wet, warm, sandy cat tongue on my feet is not my favorite way to wake up in the middle of sleeping! Plus, ticklish! ---

When our cat Hermes wants attention (mainly because he wants cat treats) he will reach up with claws out and grab onto my sweat pants, or Pepper Mill’s. He hasn’t succeeded in actually pulling them down, yet. He’ll do it with regular pants, too, but there’s less danger of those coming down. ---

This thread Reminds me of my favorite dog from when I was a kid. When she wanted your attention she would politely poke you with her index claw. Not hard, and never more than one claw, just a little “excuse me please” on your leg or arm. ---

My dolphin had some fun pwning me once. I worked at a [research lab with a big tank with two dolphins](http://doggie.freeshell.org/pictures/dolphin.jpg). One day my pen fell out of my pocket into the water. One of the dolphins immediately snatched it and swam out to the center of the tank. That’s very dangerous. Smart as they are, dolphins can be dumb about what things are okay to swallow. \ So I reached out to try to coax the dolphin to give it back. Dolphin swam toward me, to _just an inch or so beyond where I could reach_ and sat there laughing at me. When I tried to stretch my arm just a bit farther, the dolphin abruptly tossed the pen back out to the center of the tank. Then went and got it. Repeat the above paragraph three times. (Finally I managed to snatch the pen back.) ---
