# I've been watching Loony Toons for 7 hours...

Work is a beautiful thing. I’d feel bad if I was off and watched 7 hours of TV. Cartoon network is also a beautiful thing. I’ve gotten to see Daffy Duck as Robin Hood: “My Buck and a Quarter Staff” and “To trip…to trip…trip…trip…to trip…”. Also, Bugs vs. Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius. Barber of Seville, Leopoldt, Sylvester and the Haunted Mansion, they’ve all been shown.
Why post this? Well, it certainly is mundane and pointless. Also, it makes me think of where these came from, as shorts before movies. I wish they would bring that back. Show the new shorts being made, like [http://www.405themovie.com](http://www.405themovie.com) and mix those with old cartoons like the Loony Toons. Put them on before the movie previews and you’d be assured everyone was in their seat and watching when the advertisments came on.
Hows everyone else feel on this? Would you want to have 5 – 10 minute shorts before your movies?

Well, I’ve had the idea of creating olde-fashioned motion picture experiences, if I was ever in the business. I would make family-friendly movies, and create original cartoons and serials to run before them. It would be just like going to a matinee in the 1920’s-except it would be in color and have fancy computer graphics for the Flash Gordon-like space adventures. I think.
