# I've got a piece of chicken lodged in my throat

It won’t go down or come up. I can breathe OK. Swallowing is difficult and comes with a gurgling sound. Coughing does nothing. Any advise?

Go to a doctor’s office, hospital, or urgent care type facility. It shouldn’t be difficult to remove. You don’t want to try to move it because you could make things worse.

ETA: or it may just go down all on it’s own 🙂
