# I've Got Fifty More Years!?

My grandmother just turned 89 years old the other day. I will be 40 years old in August. The rest of my grandparents also lived pretty long lives, and it looks like my mom and dad are on their way to doing the same. If all that is a reliable indication, there is a good chance I haven’t even lived half of my life yet. I should be happy, right? Yet the only thing that keeps going through my head is, “ya mean I gotta go through all this shit again, for another 50 years?!” 🙂 🙂

I of course mean no offense to anyone. But this really has boggled my mind.

My great-grandmother is 102 and going strong. That’s a 75(!!!) year difference between us! And people on both sides of my mom’s family tend to live FOREVER, so I’m hoping I got those genes.

He was 85.
