The mole on my left arm. The rest of my arm hairs are fine and blond and this one is coarse and black. It’s pretty new, too. The hair, not the mole. I only noticed it the first time a few months ago. ---

I have one that keeps growing out of my chin…but really more my neck. Sort of in between. My mother calls it a “goat hair”. Pretty, huh? I have to pluck that scratchy, stiff brillo hair about once every two-three months. Drives me insane. I can feel it just _being_ there. I used to have one that grew out of the middle of my right forearm. Looked like a pubic hair, only longer. I plucked it out after about ten times, and haven’t seen it since about 1999. Hopefully that one’s gone for good. Not so with Goat Hair. ---

Oh! I have the mutant eyelash, too. Except mine grows under (behind?) my chin at the top of my neck. It’s exactly the shape and length of an eyelash! Weird! I pluck it out about once every couple of months. FB ---

I have three, just past the tip of my chin, toward my neck. Because of their location, they’re not easy to spot, but I hates them. ---

I have one on my right forearm that is always darker and usually gets to be about 2 inches long before I finally do something about it. I also have a few that grow from my eyebrows. They usually poke me in the eye before I notice them, but sometimes I can feel them catching the wind and I cut them back. The Eyebrow rogues are very resiliant though. I often wonder if I let them grow long enough would it require something stronger than a good pair of scissors to cut them? would I ever have to resort to wire cutters? Here’s the worst of all, I get Grey Nosehairs! I think these are Proof that if we were created by a God that he has a wicked sense of humor and really likes torturing us. Damnit I am NOT a freak!!! I just have the occasional Nose hair Crisis! ---

I have about 2 recurring, really coarse hairs that keep showing up on my chin. Drives me bonkers. Other people can’t see them, but I know they’re there. I also have an eyelash that grows at an angle. ---

I had one on the left side of my chin. I zapped ot with a little electrolsis thingy I bought years ago. It worked!! Now it grows on the _right_ side of my chin… I can’t win. Sometimes, I don’t even get to the finals… :o ---

I have a dark brown one on my left shoulder. Very hard to pluck. I have a gray one ☹ on my forehead. And one each on my eyebrows. Just one hair that is thicker and grows faster than the rest. I think of them as alpha hairs. ---

I have one growing out of a mole on my right upper arm. Also, on my lower left cheek near my mouth, I have a small (pencil eraser-sized) patch of beard hairs that grow faster than all the others. ---

We had a discussion about this very topic in the Pit, of all places, but it’s been awhile. I call those weird, long, white, overnighters “mutant hairs” and really felt like a freak, until I dated a guy who had a recurring one on his lower back, like the OP. Mine pops up at unpredictable intervals, but if it is the aliens, as my SO once suggested, I guess I’ll count my lucky stars the hair implantation didn’t include a probing. ---

Chin hairs and neck hairs. I can totally relate to those who remark upon needing a tweezers within immediate grasp when one rears its ugly little self. I’ve thought long and hard about this, and if I ever went on “Survivor” a pair of tweezers would be my luxury item. ---

Two lost pubes; one on my left arm, and one on the right side of my back. I’ve had the arm hair for about 25 years, since I was a kid. If it’s plucked, it’s gone for about a month or two, and them … BAM! An inch and a half overnight. ---

My nose. No, not _out_ of my nostril. I mean out of the right side of my nose, close to my cheek. It’s nearly colorless and very fine, almost to the point of being invisible. Except that I can see it with my right eye, just barely. I’ll think it’s a bit of fuzz or an eye-floater for a few hours. Then I’ll remember and will have to get the lighted magnifying mirror to see it clearly enough to grasp with tweezers.
