That, in and of itself, is entertainment of the highest order (and make no mistake, most of us are here for entertainment, not a personal vendetta against you as an individual.) Not only that you expected it to be moved, but that you expected the creator of the thread to report it for you. Classic. But that’s not why you got so much abuse in that thread. The real beauty of this story is that your stated reason for not wanting to post in the Pit is that people hijack Pit threads with threadshitting. You then proceeded to… hijack it with threadshitting. Not only did you shit all over the thread, you did it in such a way to intentionally provoke a Mod. You then went into _other_ threads and shit all over those. The fact that he only humiliated you instead of giving you an official warning is, in my estimation, very generous of him. The verdict is pretty much unanimous – you were being a jerk. Your efforts to defend yourself (and attack other posters who rightfully pointed out your bad behavior) are not helping. They are merely broadening the exposure of your jackass behavior. With a few exceptions, insults are a way people let off steam here. They don’t mean anything. Maybe 5% of the time people cross the line into ruthless cruelty, but that has not happened here. You might have a case that it was still up for discussion, though my impression at that point was that the mod had chosen not to move it and the OP didn’t give a shit either way.
