# I've Never Believed in Psychics....

… but I would start, if you could find one who predicted, say 20 years ago, that President Donald Trump would be taking heat from Senator Al Franken.

Have any of you guys read “Why Not Me?” It’s a fictional diary by Al Franken of his campaign for president. He wrote it back in the nineties.

He primaries Al Gore for the Democratic nomination, and then runs an outrageous and ridiculous campaign for the office. He wins popular support with a promise to end ATM fees. He gets huge money on his side by promising to allow insurance companies into the retail banking business. He becomes president, then resigns a month later, after it becomes hilariously clear that he can’t handle the job.

There’s more to it, but that’s the gist. It’s weirdly prescient, in a way. I wonder if it would be a liability for Al Franken if he ever did decide to run for president.
