Dr. Thorpe also pens the [**Your Band Sucks**](http://www.somethingawful.com/yourbandsucks/) column, which isn’t all that funny this week (it’s about some R. Kelly thing) but he cracks me up about 90% of the time. ---

I meant to say this before: What I (personally) find so amusing about that one that DOES look like Whoppi Goldberg, is that at one point in time as a youth, I read whatever comic that EXACT picture was taken from. I think it was one of those “Marvel Universe” things they put our every year that did a summary of all (or just the new?) characters. I remember seeing that picture and thinking “That looks just like Whoppi Goldberg!” Because it DOES! ---

My husband and I read the story that included the bit on Dr. Bong several weeks ago, and now an exaggerated recitation of “Dude, there was a tie on the door!” will always be met with “duuuude” at our house. ---

IT’S WHOOPI GOLDBERG!!!” Then I scrolled down and read the words “Whoopi Goldberg. Mexican samuri.” That article was the funniest thing I’ve read in ages. I’ve got to read the other FashionSWAT articles. ---

Oh man this is good. How have I never checked out Something Awful before? I’ve seen it referenced, but just never went there. Now I’m hooked. I especially liked the Black Condor’s “wrinkly-phallus-blaster.” And his possible sidekick names: The Red Bottom, The Flying Twink, Oily Lad and The Pink Bum. ---
