I have too, and I remember it all too well. I narrowly escaped childhood diabetes from the experience.

All these are so passive-aggressive! Can’t someone react by having a drug habit, or sexually acting out, or go berserk with a chainsaw? Why must they be so maudlin and simpering?

“Oh nursie, I love you soo much _kisskisskiss_. Now that mumsy has locked us in the cellar, we have no one but each other!!!”

Blech.

One good thing about Little Lord Faunterloy is that it gave us the Sopranos created nickname Little Lord Fuckpants for Jackie Aprile, Jr. (I didn’t know Chrissy had it in him to be that literary.)

I loved A Little Princess, never read the Fauntleroy book. I’m re-reading A Catcher in the Rye now because absolutely nothing stuck when I read it in high school and I keep seeing references to it.

I owned The Little Lame Prince when I was a kid but I don’t remember much about it, except that I loved the concept.
