I've seen fire and I've seen rain 2 (Part 1)

Dance with the boogie beat
Now dance with the boogie beat
'Cause boogie nights are always the best in town

Yes sir, I can boogie (I can boogie)
If you stay, you can’t go wrong
I can boogie, boogie woogie (I can boogie)
All night long

I phoned up my doctor to see what’s the matter
He said “Come on over”
I said “Do I have to?”
My knees started shakin’, my wrist started achin’
When my doctor said to me

“Oh my my, oh my my
Can you boogie, can you slide?
Oh my my, oh my my
You can boogie, if you try
Oh my my, oh my my
It’s guaranteed to keep you alive”

A hot summer night fell like a net
I’ve gotta find my baby yet
I need you to soothe my head
Turn my blue heart to red

Doctor, doctor, gimme the news
I got a bad case of loving you
No pill’s gonna cure my ill
I’ve got a bad case of lovin’ you

Lovin’ you is easy cause you’re beautiful
Makin’ love with you is all i wanna do
Lovin’ you is more than just a dream come true
And everything that I do is out of lovin’ you
La la la la la la la… do do do do do

'Cause all I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I’m not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I’m not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard

Things changed back in '75
We were all growing up on the in and the outside
We got in trouble with the police man
We got busted getting high in the back of my friend’s van

I remember in 1977
I started going to concerts and I saw the Led Zeppelin
I got a guitar on a Christmas day
I dreamed that Jimmy Page would come to Santa Monica and teach me to play

When I was young
I’d listen to the radio
Waitin’ for my favorite songs
When they played I’d sing along
It made me smile

Those were such happy times
And not so long ago
How I wondered where they’d gone
But they’re back again

I’d sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
You gave them all those old-time stars
Through wars of worlds, invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh, you made 'em cry
You made us feel like we could fly
So don’t become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just don’t know, or just don’t care
And just complain when you’re not there

Do you remember back in 1966?
Country Jesus, hillbilly blues where I got my licks
From coast to coast and line to line, in every county there
Talkin’ ‘bout that outlaw X, he’s cuttin’ through the air

Anywhere, y’all
Everywhere, y’all
I heard it, I heard it
I heard it on the X

You live your life in the songs you hear
On the rock n’ roll radio
And when a young girl doesn’t have any friends
That’s a really nice place to go
Folks hoping you’d turn out cool
But they had to take you out of school
You’re a little touched, you know, Angie baby

Clap for the Wolfman
He gonna rate your record high
Clap for the Wolfman
You gonna dig him 'til the day you die

And when I die and when I’m gone
There’ll be one child born
In this world, carry on, to carry on

Now troubles are many
They’re as deep as a well
I can swear there ain’t no heaven
But I pray there ain’t no hell

Blood, Sweat & Tears. And When I Die

There’s a hole in my heart
As deep as a well
For that poor little boy
Who’s stuck halfway to Hell.

Though we can’t get him out
We’ll do the next best thing.

We go on TV and sing, sing, siiing!

And we’re sending our love down the well!

The Simpsons

Sing, sing a song,
Make it simple to last your whole life long.
Don’t worry that it’s not good enough
For anyone else to hear,
Just sing, sing a song.

Sing – The Carpenters

(FWIW – the song was originally written for and performed on Sesame Street)

-“BB”-

Song sung blue
Everybody knows one
Song sung blue
Every garden grows one

Me and you are subject to the blues now and then
But when you take the blues and make a song
You sing them out again
Sing them out again

Blue skies smilin’ at me
Nothin’ but blue skies do I see
Bluebirds singin’ a song
Nothin’ but blue skies from now on

You’re my blue sky, you’re my sunny day
Lord, you know it makes me high
When you turn your love my way
Turn your love my way, yeah

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You’ll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don’t take
My sunshine away

Sunshine, come back another day
I promise you I’ll be singin’
