I've seen fire and I've seen rain 2 (Part 1)

Oh, Johnny get angry,Johnny get mad
Give me the biggest lecture I’ve ever had
I want a brave man, I want a cave man
Johnny show me that you care, really care for me

Somebody said he came from New Orleans
[Where he got in a fight over a Cajun Queen
And a crashin’ blow from a huge right hand
Sent a Louisiana fellow to the Promised Land, Big John
Big John. Big Bad John

She kinda breezed into town from New Orleans
And said, "Boys, I’m Big John’s Cajun Queen
Now, I didn’t come here to argue or waste anybody’s time
I just come to get my man from your dirty old mine
'Cause he moves me

I’m damned near 67 years old and I was around for the original “Big Bad John”, but I never knew there was a sequel to it – and then I find out there were a total of THREE OF THEM!! Much appreciate your pulling it out from the cobwebs.
(the other two were a Dottie West ‘answer’ song, “My Big John”, told from the viewpoint of John’s Cajun queen as she searched for and found him, and “Little Bitty Big John”, which told the story of John’s son learning about his father’s act of heroism.)

Mississippi queen
If you know what I mean
Mississippi queen
She taught me everything
Way down around Vicksburg, around Louisiana way
There lived the Cajun lady aboard the Mississippi Queen
You know she was a dancer, she moved better on wine

I met a gin-soaked barroom queen in Memphis;
She tried to take me upstairs for a ride.

She’s the Queen of the Silver Dollar
And she rules this smokey kingdom
And her scepter is a wine glass
And a bar stool is her throne.

Queen of the Silver Dollar – Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show
(lyrics by Shel Silverstein – yeah, THAT Shel Silverstein…)

-“BB”-

Cleaned a lot of plates in Memphis
Pumped a lot of 'tane down in New Orleans
But I never saw the good side of the city
Until I hitched a ride on a riverboat queen

In 1814 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip’
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans

We’re the boys from Camp Kookamonga
Our mothers sent us here for to study nature’s ways
We learned to make sparks by rubbing sticks together
But if we catch the girls then we’ll set the woods ablaze

Homer and Jethro, The Battle of Kookamonga

We always take my car because it’s never been beat
And we’ve never missed yet with the girls we meet

I’m in love with my car
Got to feel for my automobile
Get a grip on my boy racer roll bar
Such a thrill when your radials squeal

Thrill me (thrill me), thrill me (thrill me)
Walk me down the lane where shadows
Will be (will be) will be (will be)
Hiding lovers just the same as we’ll be, we’ll be
When you make me tell you I love you.

Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me – Mel Carter

-“BB”-

The thrill is gone
The thrill is gone away
The thrill is gone, baby
The thrill is gone away
You know you done me wrong, baby
And you’ll be sorry someday

You start to freeze
As horror looks you right between the eyes
You’re paralyzed

'Cause this is thriller
Thriller night
And no-one’s gonna save you
From the beast about to strike

You, you shattered my resistance, yes it’s true (It’s true)
You battered my defenses what could I do? (Do)
I’m running from the heat between me and you
You hit me with a million volts
You nail me with a lightning bolt
Oh, baby, you knocked me cold (You knocked me cold)
Your love zapped me, right between the eyes (Want some more?)

I got chills, they’re multiplying
And I’m losing control
'Cause the power, you’re supplying
It’s electrifying!

Good God. we’ gonna rock down to Electric Avenue
And then we’ll take it higher

Down on the boulevard they take it hard
They look at life with such disregard
They say it can’t be won
The way the game is run
But if you choose to stay
You wind up playing anyway
It’s okay

Oh, Mary Hill sure was fun down at Cherry Hill Park
Playin’ games with everyone til way after dark
