I've seen fire and I've seen rain 2

I don’t care what people say
Rock and roll is here to stay
(We don’t care what people say)
(Rock and roll is here to stay)

Danny & the Juniors

I said I know it’s only rock 'n roll but I like it
I said I know it’s only rock’n roll but I like it, like it, yes, I do
Oh, well, I like it, I like it, I like it
I said can’t you see that this old boy has been a lonely?

The Rolling Stones

No one likes us, no one likes us
No one likes us, we don’t care!

We are Millwall, super Millwall
We are Millwall from The Den

Millwall FC chant (to the tune of ‘Sailing’)

And as for me I can sit here and bide my time
I got nothing to lose if I speak my mind
I don’t care anymore, I don’t care no more

Phil Collins

Sittin’ in the mornin’ sun
I’ll be sittin’ when the evenin’ comes
Watching the ships roll in
Then I watch ‘em roll away again, yeah
I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Watchin’ the tide roll away, ooh
I’m just sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Wastin’ time

Otis Redding

There’s Brooklyn Bridge, London Bridge,
And the Bridge of San Louis Rey
But the only bridge, that’s a real gone bridge,
Is the bridge across the bay

San Francisco, I’m coming home again,
Never to roam again, by gum
San Francisco, I don’t mean Frisco
San Francisco, here I come!

Judy Garland

If you’re going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you’re going to San Francisco
You’re gonna meet some gentle people there

San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair) – Scott McKenzie

-“BB”-

She’ll grab your sweaty bollocks
Then slowly raise her knee
Don’t marry her, fuck me

When the Sunday sun shines down on San Francisco Bay
And you know that you can’t have it anyway
You gotta wash the car
Take the kiddies to the park
Don’t marry her, fuck me

Don’t marry her, The Beautiful South

My brother makes the noises for the talkies
There’s not a single noise that he can’t do
If you’ve forgotten what a parrot’s squawk is
Our Bill can illustrate that squawk to you
He does the noise escaping from liners leaving dock
He’ll fake a razor scraping or else a cuckoo clock
My brother makes the noises for the talkies
There’s not a single noise that he can’t do

Bonzo Dog

You oughta be in pictures
You’re wonderful to see
You oughta be in pictures
Oh, what a hit you would be
Your voice would thrill a nation
Your face would be adored
You’d make a great sensation
With wealth and fame your reward

They was taking plaster tire tracks, Footprints, dog-smelling prints and they took twenty-seven 8 x 10 colored Glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of Each one explaining what each one was, to be used as evidence against us. Took pictures of the approach, the getaway, the Northwest corner, the Southwest corner, and that’s not to mention the aerial photography!

Arlo Guthrie - Alice’s Restaurant

Riding on The City of New Orleans
Illinois Central Monday morning rail
Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders
Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail

Arlo Guthrie - The City of New Orleans

Well, I was drunk the day my mama got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got run over by a damned old train

David Allen Coe - You Never Even Called Me by My Name

Too late, my brothers
Too late, but never mind
All my trials, Lord, soon be over

Joan Baez

The judge said “guilty” in a make-believe trial
Slapped the sheriff on the back with a smile
Said, “Supper’s waiting at home and I got to get to it”

That’s the night that the lights went out in Georgia
That’s the night that they hung an innocent man
Well, don’t trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer
'Cause the judge in the town’s got bloodstains on his hands

Vicki Lawrence

The account of the capture
Wasn’t in the papers,
But you know, they hanged ol’ Smack right then
Instead of later.
You know, the people were quite pleased
'Cause the outlaw had been seized
And on the whole, it was a very good year

Carole King - Smackwater Jack
For the undertaker.

You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I’ll come runnin’
To see you again

Carole King - You’ve Got a Friend

It’s so nice to meet an old friend and pass the time of day,
And talk about the home town a million miles away.
Is the ice still on the river? Are the old folks still the same?
And by the way, did she mention my name?

Did She Mention My Name? – Gordon Lightfoot

But for all these great powers, he’s wishful, like me
To be back where the dark Mourne sweeps down to the sea

Mountains of Mourne

Shannon is gone I heard
She’s drifting out to sea
She always loved to swim away
Maybe she’ll find an island
With a shaded tree
Just like the one in our back yard
Ah
Just like the one in our back yard
Ah

Henry Gross
