Boy you’re gonna carry that weight,
Carry that weight a long time.
Take a load off Fanny, take a load for free
Take a load off Fanny, and you put the load right on me
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Mister President, Mister Immigration Man,
Let me in, sweetie, to your fair land.
I’m Tampa bound and Memphis too,
Short Fat Fanny is on the loose.
Train, train, Lord, take me on out of this town
Well, that woman I’m in love with, Lord, she’s Memphis bound
Nighttime on the city of New Orleans
Changing cars in Memphis, Tennessee
Half way home, we’ll be there by morning
Through the Mississippi darkness
Rolling down to the sea
I’m a long ways from home
And I missed my loved one so
In the early mornin’ rain
With no place to go
I went into town for one last round and I gambled my ticket away.
Now the big steel rail won’t carry me home to the one I love.

“Is this the train to Desert Moon?”
Was all she said
But I knew I’d heard
That stranger’s voice before.
Strangers in the night exchanging glances
Wondering in the night what were the chances
And somewhere in the darkness
The gambler he broke even
But in his final words
I found an ace that I could keep
Your black cards can make you money
So you hide them when you’re able
In the land of milk and honey
You must put them on the table
Silky Sam was a gambling man
And the cards all would dance in his hand
The stars would shine just to make a lucky sign
So you’d understand
Good morning starshine
The earth says hello
You twinkle above us
We twinkle below
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
That last line should be
And looooove will kill us all!

Now my gal she’s running across the depot
Up to the depot agent’s window
And she asks him what time train time was
And he said, “Go put your head on the track.
When you hear the rail singing, you know train time won’t be long.”
Old Charlie stole the handle and
The train it won’t stop going, no way to slow down
And the sons of Pullman Porters
And the sons of engineers
Ride their father’s magic carpet made of steel
Mothers with their babes asleep
Are rockin’ to the gentle beat
And the rhythm of the rail is all they feel
Choo Choo Charlie was an engineer; Choo Choo Charlie had a train we hear.
He had an engine and it sure was fun. He used Good ‘n’ Plenty candy to make the train run.
Charlie says…‘Love my Good ‘n’ Plenty’! Charlie says…‘really rings my bell’! (ding)
Charlie says…'love my Good ‘n’ Plenty. It is Good ‘n’ Plenty candy that I love so well."
