“Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. Once, I even managed to fold a bed sheet so that it fit back into that little bag they come in. All those… moments… will be lost in time, like tears… in… rain.” I mean, if the guy’s trying to impress on us how amazing his life has been, the sheet thing would be the one to wow me. I bought some today and damned if I can manage it. ---

Grin! I got a new sheet for Xmas, and…you’re so right! No conceivable way! I couldn’t even think of a use for the little fabric box/pouch it came in. It looks like it ought to be good for something, but what? Ended up throwing it away. ---

Well, Hauer did say that line extemporaneously… perhaps the miracle of folding a sheet back into its original bag didn’t come to mind as something within the realm of possibility. ---

If the damn thing didn’t come out of the pouch, I’d swear it couldn’t go in. I’ve got an IQ over 150 and I can bench press about twice that and I couldn’t come close to forcing even the flat sheet back into the case today. If it were a game called Batty’s Rectangle we’d get complaints it’s unsolvable. ---

OTOH, in the Super Extra This Time For Realsies Final Director’s Cut there’s an extra scene that shows Roy putting Chew’s eyes back in the sockets.😉 (BTW, how come the guys on _The Big Bang Theory_ don’t recognize the guy at the Chinese restaurant was in one of their favorite movies?) ---

It’s obvious he’s referring to External Mattress Sheeting 3-component-set putting it back in the thingy. ---

We use them as travel packs in our suitcases. Clear, lightweight, and very packable, they’ve been very handy. I’ve seen ten things come out of a box full of packing peanuts and the peanuts transferred into a garbage bag … without spilling a single one.
