In Dublin? Shit, Flatley’s South Side Irish. Got a buddy who used to hang out in the same bar as him and that Daughter of the Auld Sod, Jenny McCarthy.
But the dancing’s not bad? Always struck me as a cheesarama, but the dancers are hot.

Actually the Miss America pageant would be the parade of one nation. You’re probably thinking of Miss Universe.
Second vote for TSO. I was looking forward to going to one of their concerts until I actually did.
Well, its founder also co-wrote Convoy so cheese runs through his veins.
Air Supply is still popular in Thailand. They used to come here fairly regularly, but I think it’s been three or four years since the last time.
This thread needs to be merged with the Beiber/fondue one.
How about Michael Buble, Michael Franks, Michael Bolton - do the Michaels never stop?
That sounds about right; the Thais used to be crazy about them, but now…they’re all out of love.
::the prosecution takes the rink, and skates around the defendants’ bench at center ice::
“We’re here to try the Nazi’s–that’s you, you and you!
We accuse y’all of killing the Jews!
Goering and von Ribbentrop are a bunch of bad boys,
Five minutes for fighting, for each ‘a’ yous. Oy!”

Thanks, I’m here all week.
The dancing is no more cheesy than “real” Irish dancing. The girls and boys (and women and men) who do Irish dancing display real talent but the get up they have to wear most of the time is just awful in my opinion. Celtic twilight cornball stuff and the wigs, good god, the wigs!
The fact that the New Kids On The Block / 98 Degrees / Boyz II Men tour has sold out a 20,000 seat arena in my area just plain confuses me.
I was going to nominate pretty much all of Branson.
Circuses. Rodeos. Just about anything in Vegas.
Just to set the record straight: “Convoy” was co-written by Chip Davis, who also founded Mannheim Steamroller, not Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Yeah, I know, six of one, half a dozen of the other. )
A crowd pleaser from Celtic Thunder, that you might be a knowin’. This piece re-enforces just how brilliant A Mighty Wind was- Guest captured exactly the same audience.
Will this do?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybuKQf9p5jg
They have competition in the cockamamy stadium Oirish bullshit stakes.
Do the Harlem Globetrotters still draw big crowds?
Probably not on the level that they did in the 1960s and 1970s, but they still tour constantly, and seem to be doing all right.
Ringling Brothers still tours, doesn’t it?
And don’t get me started on the massive Disney Cheese Empire.
They were just in North Korea with Dennis Rodman and his Besty Kim Jong. I’m not quite sure what that says about their career status.

Though I must say that Disney-on-Ice was a highlight of my childhood. Though that was 40 years ago and I don’t think they do that anymore.
Odd choice for a group name; like Highlander, couldn’t their by definition “be only one” High King?
Maybe they’re being Oironic.
