I wouldn’t read anything into the helmets with ridges. It’s standard J.J. Abrams tomfoolery, the only purpose of which is to get people buzzing and excited about a story that never was and never will be. ---

Judging by how easily the klingon’s were bitchslaped I assumed he and his crew walked into the Klingon prison, lay down on the tables, strapped themselves in, then shouted for the guards to come in an tourture them. After a few squeemish moments for teh Klingon guards they finally were able to deliver their lines menacingly enough for the Romulan miner’s liking. Good thing this was cut out… adds nothing to the movie. ---

I watched a different deleted scene last night that had Klingon language and showed Nero’s ship facing what I assume were Bird’s of Prey. ---

Hmm. “Look, we appreciate your enthusiasm, but our ships are not generally set up for methane breathing jelly fish. Maybe you can build your own cruisers?” Think about the modifications we have to do to buisnesses so that the handicapped can use them. Some of these modifications are not inconsequential. At some point, you’ll have to segregate the crews based on enviornmental capacity. Tholians, for example, need very high temperature rooms, as well as exotic atmospheres, IIRC. So, the oxygen breathing bipedal humanoids are going to be interacting with other O2 breathers, as far as casual settings, anyway. [aside] In the DS9 episode where Sisko and company went back in time to Space Station K7 (the episdoe _Trials and Tribble-ations_), how did Worf react to the tribbles? These type of inter-species compatibility issues may also have to be addressed…[/aside] ---
