SOMEONE, PLEASE, someone had to have seen that weak ass performance of JA Rules during halftime of the Bucs/Eagles game just now. They boo’d him, haha. ---

Couldn’t have been any worse than what Jessica Simpson did to the national anthem. That was truly awful. ---

Both were pathetic. I thought Jessica Simpson was going to sound half decent, but after the “Oh say can you see” it went straight to hell. ---

The penultimate car crash of half-time shows. I have no idea who Ja-Rule is (or WTF his name means either, but I digress) however, it was the FUNNIEST half-time show in recent memory. The Philly crowd booing this stiff off the stage (along with his hot but equally as untalented female sidekick) was priceless. Seems like a SNL skit in the making: “Ja-Rule vs. Philly - The Revenge” This time - its musical. ---

I don’t remember the last halftime show of a football game that I actually liked so I flipped it to 7th Heaven or something. I’m glad I didn’t miss anything. ---

The Rule, if you can believe it, stands for “Represents Unconditional Love’s Existence.” But I’m assuming this was, if not an after-the-fact creation, a flagrant tribute to/ripoff of LL Cool J (which, as fans know, stands for Ladies Love Cool James). That said, I’m not surprised the Philly crowd booed him; that’s a damn tough audience. And, of course, hip hop translates horribly to big stadium performances. ---

The fact that the Eagles were down by seven at halftime probably did a lot of good as well. Before he went on I figured the crowd would be out of it, but the awful performance got them rowdy… ---

I watched part of it w/ closed captioning. Was there something in the song about having sex in a Yukon? I was stripping wallpaper at the time, didn’t get a real good look. ---

May I also remind you all that the notoriously mean Philly fans also booed Destiny’s Child during the half-time show of the NBA finals a couple years ago, because one of them was wearing a Lakers jersey (the team the 76ers were playing in the finals). ---

Being in Cafe Society does not get you an exemption. BTW, even if you find one, I will acknowledge you only by booing zestfully. I will close by saying that half-time shows everywhere have sucked royally since “Up With People” disbanded. _Man_, they rocked. ---
