OK, I get that the title is some kind of parody, but there has to be something about the words “Ms. Henn”- it’s not just a play on “Sex, Lies & Videotape” Ms. Henn- an Anti-Semitic caricature? Naw… she’s a Wicked Witch caricature. This is obviously part of a series- panels 3 & 5 are setting up something about her teaching, probably Neo-Pagan/New Age stuff about spirit-guides & discovering your innate godhood. ---

Come on! There’s at least one decent stab at humor in this one: Kid 1: “God tells us in the Bible what happened…and he should know…he was there! Was Ms. Henn?” Kid 2: “She’s old, but she’s not _that_ old!” Punch it up a bit, and there’s almost the possibility of the beginning of the start of a joke somewhere there. Nah, forget it. Once again, the unintentional humor of the Chick tract outguns even any attempt at parody. BTW, has anybody invented a Jack Chick drinking game yet? One sip for every time Bob the Swarthy Christian shows up, that kind of thing? ---

I have to confess to being a little disappointed that Chick’s latest is just another creationist tract–doesn’t he or his stable of comic artists watch the news? Where’s his volcanic anti-gay marriage tract? Sure, he wrote _Doom Town_ and _The Gay Blade_, but those are just generic anti-gay tracts that aren’t even in print anymore. Where’s his rant about Satanic gay conspiracies to destroy marriage? Where’s his chortling satisfaction at God’s removing His “veil of protection” from America? Where’s his fiery denunciation of San Francisco as Sodom-on-the-Pacific? Where is his shock and horror that _Queer Eye for the Straight Guy_ is a successful television show? ---

I miss Bob. I’d become attracted to him. He’s my Chick Tract crush. It’s that moustache. Oh what? Like none of y’all ever had a crush on a comic book character. Maybe Bob will visit the school again and confront Ms. Henn who will tell him to #_%#_! off. Then she’ll get in her car, speed away, run a redlight and hit a tanker truck. Oh wait, that’s been done. It’s almost impossible to parody Chick’s crap-- the original is such a “self-parody” that nothing can be as funny as the real deal. It does continue to depress me to no end that there exist in this world people stupid enough to read his garbage and nod their empty heads up and down in agreement with it. I saw some of them at my last family reunion… ---
