I would be horrifed if it were my kid doing any of the stuff, but since I’m not connected to it any way, good stuff. I do agree that the scatological stuff is a little much, but hey you’ve gotta break some eggs and all. Oh, and **carrot** , wishing for cancer relapses on people (even someone as unfunny and devoid of talent as Tom Green) is pretty low class. ---

Jackass reminds me of the joys of watching _America’s Funniest Home Videos For The Criminally Insane._ It is sometimes funny but usually disturbing or nonsensical. Hope all of you who see it get your money’s worth out of it. ---

I have only seen one episode, the one with the tazer I think, it was on at somones house. While I doubt I would watch it again on purpose, and while I know for a fact that I will never pay to see it in the cinema or on video, I gotta tell you, I laughed my ass off! Yeah it’s “lowest common denominator” entertainment, and? I would even WAG that this is one of the oldest forms of entertainmant (well, yeah except that of course). Ug the caveman probably got serious cred from the other cavemen for that stick-your-head-in-the-saber-tooth-tigers-mouth trick, and fakirs have been popular for at least the past couple of hundred years (probably thousands of years, what am I a fakir-expert?). ---

Jackass was quite funny to many people. And, despite the popular opinion, was pretty clever sometimes. And the folks on Jackass _are_ to be admired, but, duh, not for their bravery. They’re to be admired because they know what gets them off and they have a buttload of fun doing it. But yeah, it’s one of those things you have to get. Evidently, not really possible to appreciate it unless you like it. ---

Can we all sit down and dial back the drama by about a factor of fifty? So far we’ve got: People who think a guy skateboarding into a lake probably think suicide bombers are funny and People who think seeing able bodied twenty somethings joust in grocery carts probably think pregnant women falling on the ice are funny. Can we stop for just a second? The reason I laugh at Jackass is because the people on JACKASS are laughing at JACKASS…I don’t sit around and wait for fucking people to get hit by cars so I can laugh. I do have a friggin edit button. ---

I think a pregnant woman falling on ice would be funny. I would help her up, of course, but still think it is pretty funny. I think my above comment was a little ambiguous. I think Jackass is funny but don’t think it is worth paying to see. I think it will be like the Mr. Bean movie. In other words, Mr. Bean is funny in 30 minute increments but 1-2 hours of Mr. Bean is decidedly **NOT** funny. ---

As is the following exchange from the first episode: (About to be turned upside down in a porta-potty and drenched in feces, Knoxville has donned a swimming cap and goggles) Off Camera Dude: So what are you supposed to be? Knoxville: I’m Greg Poo-ganis. OK, OK, not the height of taste, but makes me chuckle. And you may NOT tell me that the Tom Green Show wasn’t funny as all hell. Hello people!! 2 minute porridge? Scuba Hood? Tom Green had kind of a situationist edge to him that the Jackass crew has never had. I liked him better. His movie roles, however, fellate goats. ---
