You gave so much as a moment’s thought to Michael “the Savage Weiner”? You* listen* to him? You ponder his “thoughts”?
These beautiful, guarded kids indoctrinated by modern PC liberalism will get a giant slap in the face when they leave their establishments of higher learning and realize people don’t give a f*** about whiny, bitch-ass liberals and their chronic guilt for all things American.
The bubble groweth, and taketh away.
Sure, take out the flags, then lock the bathrooms.
Then they can carry their Evian in one hand and their relief bottle in the other.
This is beautiful.
He’s not afraid to say what everyone who thinks everyone thinks like him thinks but is afraid to say!
And our role, as adults who remember that part of our lives, is to ignore them strenuously as the trolls they are.
Speaking of housing developments, I wonder if they would find this to be a suitable flag.
For anyone who needs a hint… (WARNING: .pdf)
This. Leftie crazy is self limiting (today at least - not so much during the 1970s). Rightie crazy just grows and grows.
Still, removing a bunch of flags from a lobby is a nothingburger. It’s the incoherent non-empirical justification which is nuts. Refreshing in a way, sort of like spotting a rare specie of beetle.
K - this is my local campus. Let’s see, a few idiots who worked to get elected to the student legislative body passed a stupid resolution. I saw this happen in the 80s when I was on campus, and elders in my family remember similar stupid things happening as well. Some kids spends a semester (k - Quarter at this school) studying a random philosopher and suddenly sees the that the world just needs to change and something needs to be done. In the meantime, the rest of the student body just don’t give a damn.
However, in this age of using Google to look up job candidates, something tells me that Mr. Matthew Guevara might have some challenges when he graduates if he goes down a traditional path of employment.
Oh - in the meantime, the higher court of the student body is meeting right now to veto the resolution.
While the resolution is silly, so has been the hysteria and overreaction to it. The various headlines and blog titles keep talking about “the university” “banning the flag.”
It is one small group banning all flags from one room in one building.
Silly? Yes. So what?

Thing like that does not look good on your permanent record.
I think it’s appalling that the city of Davis named an entire neighborhood after the great Hobbit genocide of the Fourth Age.
Exactly. Who gives a flying fuck? College kids do stupid shit, news at eleven.
Yeah, but it is handy when you are done …
what?
Yep, exactly. That’s why i said earlier in the thread that i’m taking some pleasure in all of the moronic over-reaction. If there’s one thing that you can rely on, it’s that, if someone does something stupid, the reactionary froth will often overshadow the original offense in its stupidity.
Is there a chance this is like the attempts by ‘Satanists’ to have a statue of their God placed on public grounds, no one really thinks it’ll happen, they’re making a point and possibly illuminating hypocrisy
I’m hearing a lot more from the whiny, bitch-ass conservatives.
“They hold opinions different from mine? They accept that science is true even when it’s politically incorrect and bad for my investments? Their skin is not the same color as mine? They love differently from me and want to not be harassed for it? I’m offended! Holding ideas different from mine is… is… Un-American!” – This Message Brought To You By The GOP: The Party Of Being Offended By Science
