I first heard of Jaegermeister back in West Texas, always associated with some travesty. Such as: “I took a shot of Jaegermeister and wrecked my motorcycle.” Nothing like that ever happened to me, but my main drinking buddy in Thailand and I always used to finish off a night with a shot or two, and it did seem like our hangovers were always worse than when we did not do those shots.

I don’t have a cite, but I read somewhere that absinthe had such a small amount of wormwood in it that you’d die of alcohol poisoning long before you died of drug side effects.
