I just got the call: they were coming out to pick me up from work, when some lady in a Z28 pulled out in front of them. James couldn’t stop in time and broadsided her. The kids have been checked out by paramedics and are okay: James is badly shaken up, but is all right. His air bag went off. The other lady seems to be okay, although they had to pull the Jaws of Life to get her door open. The Havocmobile is toast for now. We may be able to repair it, but it isn’t likely for a while. Whatever you guys do, prayer, ritual, good thoughts, anything: please send a few our way. Kai’leen (Juliana), James (Saint Zero), and Rick and Didi ---

I’m sitting here at work waiting for my mother-in-law to come pick me up. She’s a wonderful lady, and I love her dearly, thank God. Seriously, James is calming down, thankfully. I suppose the other drivers insurance will cover your costs, right? It seems she was at fault. In any case, the most important thing is that everybody is OK. Cars can be repaired, or replaced. Take care, Juliana. ---

:eek: You have to be careful around people who drive Z-cars. The doors have powerful magnets in them that attract other cars, causing great problems for both Z-drivers and their surrounding motorists. Seriously I am so glad everybody’s ok. ---

Well, we’re back from the ER. Rick and Didi were checked out at the scene and they are fine. James had some stiffening in his neck, a sore back and a sore wrist, so we all went to the ER. It was a comedy of errors, actually, since the hospital was close to the scene of the accident, but my father-in-law had to bring me all the way back downtown to get the insurance card for the hospital! James has some papers that magically turn into drugs in the hands of a skilled pharmacist. They did x-rays and taped up his wrist pretty good. I’m home with the kids and James went to get the prescriptions filled. Coldfire, no, the other driver did not have insurance. So there will be a court date in May to determine fault. James saw her, was going the limit, and could not stop. She said she didn’t see him, but it was still light outside and he was driving with his lights on. Here’s the miracle. Didi has become quite a little escape artist. She can get out of her carseat rather quickly. James had just pulled over about three minutes before the accident to put her back in her seat belt. She had walked up front, sat down in the passenger seat, looked up at James, and said, “Hi!” He had just been back on the road another minute when the accident happened. James will be really sore tomorrow, so I’ll have to pamper him a bit. [sarcasm] Oh, gee, what torture! [/sarcasm] Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, everything. Thank God, Goddess, and everybody else that our patron **Saint** and all the **little saints** are okay! Isn’t Mississippi a no-fault state? I thought they all were now. After a few hours of pampering please tell him to get **on** his duff and back online. You know, episodes like this wouldn’t happen if he just stayed at his computer all the time. 😉 ---

goodness, 2 shocks in a few minutes for james! the things i could do when i hear about non-insured drivers. my mum was in an accident with an uninsured driver 2 years ago we are still dealing with all sorts of things. there is a bit of a bright spot in that most states have an uninsured pool that you can get just a bit of money from. in my mums case that was 5,000 dollars. not much but better than nothing. don’t forget to pamper you as well as everyone else. ---
