# James Bond movie club:  Dr. No and From Russia

Oh, I should point out that the books don’t have a lot of the gagetry we associate with James Bond. Also, some things happen out of order. (\*\*\* POSSIBLE SPOILER \*\*\*) For example, Felix gets eaten early in the series and then pops up again with a hook later.

The stories also seem to have less formidable Uebervillains. And they sometimes differ greatly from the films. _Moonraker_, I’ve picked up from references in the books, has nothing to do with the Space Shuttle (which didn’t even exist at the time). _The Spy who Loved Me_ was written as a diary, penned by the heroine. Totally different from the film.
