I’ve got to thank all of you for this highly entertaining pitting. It’s provided no end of amusement. You got to love it. It might be structured to say that if you are under 21 than _any_ amount of alcohol found in your blood stream will automatically make it both a DUI _and_ underage drinking. They don’t have to show that you are actually impaired through any other method, and the 0.08 threshold is not applicable. ---

In Michigan, anything about .02 and below .08 while under 21 gets you an automatic OWI. The only exception being if it was for a religious ceremony. ---

Just a quick note (note to revive the DIC discussion) but a quote from NZ \*\* Under twenty \*\* The legal alcohol limit, if you are under 20, is 150 micrograms per litre of breath or 30 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood. This is effectively a zero limit - consuming just one drink will mean you can be charged with drink-driving. There are basically two reasons for this 1. At 20 you are disproportionally affected by alcohol 2. At that age your driving skills are still under development. So to say a .06 didn’t have an affect on Jamie I think is a bit of a premature judgement.
